Eeek!  My past comes back to haunt me.  I was the product manager for 
Quarterdeck Mail at StarNine and while I'm glad you liked it, 
honestly, it's dead and gone.  It was a very expensive product to 
update and required tons of work from excellent programmers (esp. 
Cobey Gatos).  No way will anyone pay to to port it to Mac OS X, or 
even keep it going on 9.

You could take a look at some of the small IMAP programs such as 
Mulberry, or see what CE Software's QuickMail is doing these days. 
But the era of non-standard email systems is *over*.
