Quick problem description: SIMS is not routing locally addressed mail to my seperate incoming mail server.
I need to have the SIMS server routing any domain matching mydomain.com in the to: field (but not the from: for obvious reasons) to the ASIP incoming mail server (at mail.mydomain.com). Here's a synopsis of my setup: two servers, one running ASIP 6.3.3 on 9.1, another running SIMS 1.8b8 on 8.5 (this server also does print serving). Currently the ASIP server is setup to accept incoming mail but has extremely restrictive settings as to who it accepts due to the amount of spam being received, and does not use SMTP at all, again in order to avoid spam. In fact spam is the singular reason why I have this setup like I do... the second mail server running SIMS is on the local subnet (say 192.168.0.3) and is working fine for all outgoing mail except local addresses. So basically, the SIMS server won't route to the ASIP server, it just delivers it to the local mailbox. I've tried all kinds of things with no luck. >From scratch on the SIMS server, what do I need to do to get this working? Thanks in advance!
