I've been using SIMS for four years now, with a lot of success (40 users). It's always been reliable, until recently that is.
I ususally setup the server through its web interface, but using CommuniGator used to also work normally. Now, if I try to use CommuniGator to do anything more than monitor activity, all kinds of weird things happen. The problem is mainly with distribution lists. Addresses setup in the Mirror to List section can sometimes disappear from an account without my intervention. I've also seen one of these accounts add itself to the mirror list, so that an email sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] would mirror to the usual subscribers of the list AND to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (creating a loop, and sending the same email hundreds of times to the list subscribers). Editing the settings for the account cures the problem, but it can reappear days or weeks later without notice. I've also seen problems with storage settings; accounts set to "store in folder only" through CommuniGator actually delete all mail received, even though the server shows it's set to "Store in folder only" in the HTML interface. Again, resetting these options using the web interface takes care of the problem. What's going on?
