I have not really looked at the capabilities, RAM footprint, or CPU requirements for CG Pro. Currently I am running SIMS with other servers (web etc) on a G4/400. I have a pitifully small user base - 22 real accounts with maybe 20 or so aliases. Most of these are used for mailing lists for a bunch of not-for-profit groups handled by ListSTAR. Steve Linford suggested CommuniGate Pro on MacOSX , but one restriction I have for the foreseeable future is that I must stay with OS 9.2.2. Too many of the other servers and CGIs are not carbonized (nor are they carbonated). Since SIMS does everything I need (except the content filtering, which would be nice but not essential) should I make the plunge and switch to CG Pro? Is there an OS 9 version? I would be glad to pay for SIMS, so paying for CG Pro is not a big problem, depending on the total bucks. Will I be taking on more admin stuff than I need? Are there other benefits that will pay back the dollars and extra effort? Please lead me from the wilderness of my ignorance! Comments from people who have made the switch or who have a small, poor user base especially welcome. Mail me directly if you prefer - it is a real address. -- Neil Neil Herber, RGD Corporate info at http://www.eton.ca/ Eton Systems, 15 Pinepoint Drive, Nepean, ON, Canada K2H 6B1 Tel: (613) 829-4668 ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
