I would. If an OS X process attempts to use a TCP/IP service running in the classic environment on the same server, it will crash. IIRC, it crashes classic. By default, though, I'd expect it to mail this at 3:15AM (I think)... I'd check the crontab files and see if your server is trying to mail you the daily admin report. I'd turn it off for a first start. The other thing that I know SIMS does at midnight is create a new log file. Test: Delete( "rename") the logfile and then do something that SIMS logs. It will attempt to create a log file. Observe to see if it crashes. Look at permissions of log file directory, look at alias to current log. make sure they are writable. Don't know if SIMS would crash if they aren't there. If there are thousands of log files, reorganize them.
