Looks like there's some intermittent flakiness between you and
mail.pacbell.net that's causing OpenTransport on your SIMS machine to throw
the T_GODATA error. The 'Abort Received' implies that the connection is
dropping unexpectedly, causing the 'Sending Failed'. Since the message in
the example was sent successfully on a subsequent retry, SIMS is apparently
re-queuing the message(s).

Try turning SIMS' logging level to 4 or 5 to see if you can get more
information about why/how the connections are dropping. At the very least,
that will allow you to give Pac Bell that much more info to troubleshoot
from their end.
You might also want to run a traceroute from your SIMS machine to
mail.pacbell.net to see if there might be some problem in the 'net between
you and there.
