I know I've asked something along these lines before, but not exactly
in this manner. At least that I remember or can track down in the
messages that I've saved from here.
How are you all setting up virus scanning for your SIMS servers?
Are you handling this on another box or has anyone done this on the
SIMS box itself successfully?
The reason I ask is I was considering looking at another AV
alternative to Norton (Sophos), but I wanted to ensure it would do
what I want it to.
I guess the question I have is this:
If I setup a AV scanner on the SIMS box to scan all mail folders when
new stuff comes in, do you think it is reasonable to consider this
might stop some of the flood of Wintel viruses running around?
All our PC clients are running Norton on that level, but I am finding
that at times it isn't as bulletproof as it is led on to be.
Any suggestions, input?
Thanks in advance.
