Here is the scoop:
I am trying to set up a secondary mail server for multiple domains, but do
not want an open relay. I had it workging with an old computer, but I can't
get it going with this one.
I was hoping someone could help debug the router entries I use as well as
the settings to apply to the SMTP module.

I am handling three domains (working fine on my main SIMS box):
kohrt.net
waushakumpond.org
manuex.com
Why are you doing this?

If the secondary is near the primary, you get nearly nothing out of having the secondary at all.

My current config:
Running SIMS 18b9d14 on an 'old' PowerTower Pro with OS 9.2
Internet Domain Name (in General control dialog)
    kohrt.net
That means that any account of the form [EMAIL PROTECTED] will be treated as local to that box. That seems to not be what you want, unless you actually have local accounts on this box of that form.

Router (as per FAQ at http://www.laffeycomputer.com/SIMS/):
    power.kohrt.net=kohrt.net
I am betting that power.kohrt.net is the real name of this machine? Then use that in the Internet Domain Name settings, and whack this line.

(The rest of the

13:21:01 3 SYSTEM WaitNextEvent: too long(653 ticks)
(I am running Outlook Express on the same comuter much of the time...)
EEEW...

You'd be better with some old P575 or 6100 that can sit headless under a desk and have no human use. That error message means that SIMS could not get a single useful cpu cycle for 11 seconds because of other stuff running on the box.

Finally, Apple's listserver tried to use my secondary, and got booted!
Log follows:
[...]
 4 SMTP-003(bz2.apple.com) Input Line: RCPT To:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>\r
16:57:12
 1 SMTP-003(bz2.apple.com) SPAM? Recipient '<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>'
rejected: user unknown
 4 SMTP-003(bz2.apple.com) Sending 550 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> user
unknown.\r\n
That's because there is no user account on that machine for 'product.tester' and as long as the machine thinks of itself as kohrt.net it will only look for [anything]@kohrt.net as a local user.
