I meant around the IP address. After the SMTP-nnn, the IP address is always in brackets (within parentheses). The only thing I can think of is the other server responded with its IP address in the HELO/EHLO string; i.e. its hostname was configured as its IP address. <snip> >Don't say "of course" -- I'm wrong sometimes too.
