Why are you using 'both accounts' to check?

>From SIMS' perspective, there's only one local account (clmartin)
regardless of the domain part of the recipient address. Also, SIMS (or any
other POP server) does not automatically delete messages from a mailbox
when they're downloaded. It's up to your POP client to delete messages.
>From what you've described, it appears that you've got your POP client(s)
set up to download messages separately for both [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- which are actually the same POP account,
clmartin, on the server -- but one or both of the client set-ups are not
configured to delete messages as they are downloaded. So the messages stay
on the server and both client set-ups see them all as new messages and
download them all, hence the duplication.

Depending on your requirements and the mail client you're using, probably
the easiest thing to do is to have only one mail client configuration that
gets messages from the clmartin account. Create a mailbox in the client for
each domain and filter incoming mail into the appropriate box based on the
domain of the recipient address.
