I try to get POPfile (http://popfile.sourceforge.net/) to work as a spam filter on my SIMS server.
POPfile act as a proxy that filters POP mail requests issues by a client. If both SIMS and POPfile run on the same machine, POPfile is the one to listen to the usual POP inquiries, then contacting SIMS, forwarding the POP traffic. For this to work, POPfile would need to listen on the port number for the POP protocol. Which means that SIMS would have to use a different port so that POPfile can contact SIMS. Is this possible? Can I specify a different port for POP in SIMS?
