I've narrowed it down to two accounts. For each of these, the finder says the file is over 23 MBytes, but SIMS says they are only a few hundred K. Any other file reader I have also says the file content is only a few hundred K. Removing these files, and making new accounts with the same name, fixes the problem but loses the mail in the accounts.

Any idea how to rescue the lost mail, or why they were 23 MB? Disk First Aid said there were no errors on the disk at all.

Just BTW, there is a reason for the % in the account name. Our SIMS handles multiple domains, and this is our way of showing what the domain is, so we can have [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] This works perfectly for us, and has done for years. We never send this % to another MTA.

Can't say off the top of my head why it worked in 1.7, but normally setting
[EMAIL PROTECTED] will cause the MTA "zzzz" to forward the mail to
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]". Even if it works in SIMS 1.7, it'll probably break other
MTAs that you want to talk to. Don't do it.
