I did that and the messages kept increasing. They began to turn
various colors in the queue. It appeared that the server was deleting,
but more and more took their place. I ended up stopping the server -
going to the queue folder in the sims folder and manually trashing the
items. Then as I emptied the trash, the system kept telling me it
could not find the file. Very strange. Finally I deleted them all and
restarted the server and it seems to be working fine. But every hour
or 2 I get 25 or 30 emails from [EMAIL PROTECTED] I read the docs but they
seem to be old. I need to stop this behavior. Also I'm afraid some of
these are being sent by my server. I don't want to get blacklisted.

How about taking and setting the 'Delete Failed messages to
immediately' or some other short time period. If you set it to
immediately it will empty the queue right away then you can change it
to something else. Say 1 day.
This setting is found in the General Settings pane.
