If memory serves, it's the maximum number of concurrent connections allowed
for any given individual host. It's intended to make life that much more
difficult for bulk senders (read: spammers). It should be set as low as
possible without making life difficult for your legitimate users. If mail
to your domains comes directly to your SIMS box, then setting the host
channel limit in the 1-3 range should be fine. If your incoming mail is
relayed through another server, say your ISP, then you'll probably want to
increase the limit to accommodate all your mail coming from the same host.
