We have two different MTAs. One is SIMS and the other is CGPro. Each is on a different server in a different location on different networks. Every once in a while the SIMS server will not talk to AOL. I'm in the middle of deciphering low level logs now to see what's up. Not talking to AOL causes messages to pile up in the SIMS queue -- sometimes for days. My inelegant solution is to change the SMTP setting from "Directly to Recipients" to "via Foreign Mail Server" and point that to my CGPro server. This works, but of course adds another link in the chain of the mail and is unnecessary for most of the mail that goes through SIMS.
What I'd like to do is possibly add a router entry that would direct all mail destined for AOL to be delivered through my CPG server but deliver all other mail directly. Is there a way to instruct the router accordingly? Remember this AOL mail is coming in from clients, i.e., it's not /received/ mail from other MTAs.
