I have always had excellent results with TB2, except when trying to manage machines that have video overlays (for example, a TV tuner card in a Windoze box). In my experience this hangs BOTH machines. But for just straight remote admin, TB2 is great. My short experience with VNC was painful enough to convince me not to use it.
It would be nice if TB2 were available in a cheaper stripped version without all of the useless (to me) add-ons like instant messages and pseudo FTP.

They used to have a product called House Doctor that was a striped down version of TB2 but they discontinued it.
