I have been attempting to get SIMS 1.8b9d14 to receive e-mail, but have been unsuccessful. My situation is that I have the one fixed IP address, but want to use 2 different domain names - one for a web site (using MacHTTP) and the other for e-mail (both hosted on the one Mac).
I have set the domain name in SIMS to "softdawn.net" and have set up the one account "robert". I then attempt to send test e-mail from another machine to [EMAIL PROTECTED], but they all bounce back with an error message "<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: 204.251.10.81 does not like recipient. Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 No such recipient Giving up on 204.251.10.81".
Can someone give some kind words of advice? I am reasonably confident that the Domain Name System has both domain names pointing to the my fixed IP address.
System is 8.6 running on a well loved 7600.
