I didn't think that was rude - it is the normal progression - BUT -
(and that's a big but) - I am on the road a lot these days and I need
the fastest, least intrusive way to switch. I will eventually change
to xmail or some such but what is EASIER than starting classic and
starting SIMS? There is no additional setup.

That's right i forgot - you can't run a service in classic so a user
has to be logged in all the time. Does it work OK with a user who
doesn't have admin privs?
Y'know, I don't want to be rude, but doesn't it seem that you're
doing an
awful lot of work to hold on to a mail server that hasn't been
updated in
years and runs on an operating system that has been out of date
since last
millennium? Check out something like
<http://maxo.captainnet.net/installs/mail-install.html> for an easy-
to-use
alternative....
