Hi list,

as Michael Hennebry asked too in his posting a few days before: how to proceed with all the changes, which are made now on Onno's GIT repo at github.com?

In fact, there are now really a lot of changes, so that it's not false to name this as a fork! But that's not that, what we (Onno and me) want to get as result. And I'm sure, that others also have interest to know, how to proceed. (to implement for example new devices, as Martin asked)

My opinion is, to switch from CVS to GIT. As I have read (or I think, that I have read such ;-) ), savanah.org has now too the possibility to use GIT. GIT isn't only available on linux platforms, also on Windows platforms. And, with MinGW on Windows it's also possible to develop (with the full automake toolchain, python interface works too, tcl interface should work, but not tested now)

But at least we need a decision. So I hope, that this posting will bring some answers.

cu, Thomas
