Details:
Story: User connects GDB to simulavr and gets load of strange warnings.
Nothing makes sense. After some time he realizes (how?) that he or the IDE
should not have used gdb - it should have used avr-gdb!
With this patch GDB would provide diagnostics.
(From my repo rev 861: "Allow GDB to provide diagnostics if the GDB does not
support AVR architecture.")
