Here is where I got avr-gdb 6.8 (WinAVR-20100110): http://sourceforge.net/projects/winavr/files/WinAVR/20100110/
avr-gdb mdb5 is 1e6b6915fb3d7cb4f5ca60783d77a2b8 for both my W7 and XP boxes. So I recommend you to reinstall winavr and to check windows paths variables. After reinstalling WinAVR I managed to start debugging with the avr-gdb 6.8 in the command line mode but I still have the XML not supported error (though С-program can be debugged and I can see variables changing). Unfortunately, debugging in Eclipse still causes the timeout error. Anyway the version of avr-gdb from the link above is not compiled with XML support. How did you manage to get that one (with md5 bf4b6a6998579bc133b2688cf8e217ac)? Could you send it to me for a test before it's reinstalled by you? Do you have the same symptoms and logs on your Windows 7 (on which you seem to have the same version of avr-gdb as mine)? You can find some new logs attached to the message to compare with yours. > The difference is likely to be in gdb.exe. Have you compared our simulavrs (I sent it to you with the last message)? It's necesssary to be sure where is the difference exactly. I just firstly want to be able to use newly compiled simulavr (the last version from GIT-repository) with avr-gdb command line mode on my Windows box.
