Description
· Design landing gear and systems components using CATIA
· Produce detailed drawings and assembly drawings from CATIA models
· Kinematic checking of CATIA models
· Updating models, drawings, producing Engineering Orders and preparing associated paperwork and List of Parts
· Basic stress and performance analysis
· Participates in the Integrated Product Development Team activity
· Apply lessons learned to new designs
· Liaise with external suppliers/customers in addition to communicating internally with various departments including Quality, Product Support, Manufacturing, etc.
Qualifications
· Engineering Degree or Diploma or equivalent experience
· Basic knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing to ASME Y14.5M-1994 as a minimum
· Proven capability in the use of one or more CAD systems (preferably CATIA)
· Proven capability in solid modeling and the production of good quality 2D drawings (preferably in CATIA)
· Team player with the ability to work within Design and Integrated Product Development Teams
· Intermediate proficiency with MS office required
· Excellent English communication skills are required
· Bilingual (French/English) is an asset but not a requirement

Role Summary:
This position is responsible for the worldwide procurement of materials and component product to meet the corporate production and cost needs. The position is responsible for the overall vendor supply chain process and the procurement and planning of materials and component parts to corporate objectives for all commodities.
Main Accountabilities:
Develop and administer Vendor Certification programs to select vendors; develop alternate sources, evaluate vendor performance, and negotiate prices and delivery terms
Develop and maintain the vendor supply chain process to maximize customer service levels and cost reduction
Responsible for overall Quality initiatives and operations
Develop and administer the raw material and purchased parts inventory plan
Monitor commodity prices to cushion the impact of major purchases and critical items to the corporation
Establish purchasing policy throughout the organization
Monitor purchase price variances (PPV), investigate causes, recommend and implement required actions
Responsible for continuing programs of exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible reliability, cost, continuity, and delivery.
Establish and maintain purchasing practices and policies to ensure honest, fair and ethical relationships with vendors
Investigate and solve problems resulting from material shortages
Meet with vendors regularly to discuss new opportunities in the market place

Multi-lingual (English, French, Spanish minimum)
