Josh, I'm a Consultant at a Global Consulting Firm for technology and strategic business operations.? I am in the process of planning a technology white paper which may help in this arena.? I think when the time comes (I'm researching right now...Reading as much as possible on Nanotech and the Singularity.), I will call upon this list for collaboration in the effort.
I'll be attending the summit in SF if you want to discuss other strategies... (Aside: Funny you mention this. I was just wondering this myself yesterday morning.) Michael P. I am not looking for book or conference reviews, sociological analyses of Singularitarianism, and uninformed editorializing, but rather for a clear short popular mass-media explanation of the Singularity. The idea came to me when I stumbled upon a well-informed, well-written intro??to the Singularity from December 2004 in Hebrew?????? http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3017313,00.html . This is the website of the most popular newspaper in Israel. (It's reprinted from the leading local popular science magazine.) I realized also that we almost never see reactions to the Singularity concept from a??wider population. Even the skeptical responses we experience are usually from a narrower well-educated group. If there really are no such articles in English-language mass media, and if mass outreach is of value (I'm not too sure of that: what great inventors or scientists relied on mass support?), maybe there's a hole to fill here.
