Following up on responses to Russell Wallace's thread (and moving it to the Singularity list), I'd like to say that I, too, am eager for rational, well-reasoned anti-Singularitarian arguments.
No, I don't think that Singularitarianism is a religion, and I believe that Singularitarians do search rationally for possible counter-arguments, but we must always keep our minds open to alternatives, especially for such important and extraordinary matters. Other such thinking is always be welcome.
