Look for DnsQuery() on MSDN.
Available on Windows 2000 and above.

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Initiating a DNS SRV Request

Hello all,

Does anyone know if DNS SRV requests are supported through standard DNS
APIs
(client side) on classic OSes like unix or windows, and like it is with
other legacy RR?
If not, does it exist some libraries that enable an easy resolution of
these
extended DNS requests or do we need all to support complete building and
processing stages of DNS SRV request/response from scratch?
Seems to me that DNS SRV (by the way, same thing for AAAA) support is
not
really widely spread..
Am I wrong?
It is to support this feature when available everywhere that it has been
already put in SIP?

Thank you in advance,

Frederic.
