No doubt that if the INVITE has an SDP, the provisional can have an SDP. What the semantics of this are is the subject of some debate. Some clear semantics are defined in the manyfolks resource draft, for example. But, its usage for "early media" is still the subject of some debate that needs resolution soon. If the INVITE does not have SDP, these two statements are contradictory. Whether or not the SDP is allowed is really secondary, in this case, to the semantics of what is meant by the SDP in the provisional response. This is again part of the broader open issue on early media that needs to take place. I've flagged this as contradictory, for resolution once those issues are sorted out. -Jonathan R. --- Jonathan D.
