Hi,
I have a query on the following .
1. in the section 4.2.6 REGISTER
Here it is *not mentioned* that while reregistering person in "To"
header,
SIP URL comparison should be done according to section 2.1, rather at one
point
in page-30 under "registering contact locations" it says -
"registrand, typically of the form
user@domain"
At another point in page-31, under "Removing Registrations", it tells -
"Registra-tions are matched based on the user, host, port and maddr
parameters."
but matching based on section 2.1 is "not just" comparing user, host, port
& maddr params.
These things seems contradicting each other for the process of
registering a person
in the "To" header. Please clarify me, what exactly should be taken care in
the SIP URL
for registering & deregistering & reregistering a "To" header.
2. When "reregistering" the contact header already registered with
registrar,
is updation of the params in the contact header is *additive* or is it
*fully replaced* with
the new set of contact params.
additive - means the existing params are updated to new values, & new
params are added & the "old params
that are not in the reregistered contact header are retained".
fully replaced - means all the existing params are removed & updated by new
set of params in the
reregistered contact header.
please clarify,
thanx & regards,
Shetti
