Ramesh,

The main difference between a stateful and stateless proxy server is
that stateful proxy maintains the state of evey call that
passes thru it. So u need to maintain FSM for each call. While in case of
stateless proxy u just forward the call and don't bother to
know in which state the call is.

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Doubt in a Proxy Server

hi all,
i am implementing a Stateless Proxy server.i just wanted to know what are
the basic features of a stateless proxy server.the rfc-2543 does not say
anything much about stateless proxy server,it only talks about a proxy
server.my doubt is that what is the basic implentation of a stateless proxy
server and the server remains in stateless mode it never switches to
stateful mode.i hope i am clear.
Manish.
