Hello SIP Implementors!

I had an earlier question about the payload of SIP messages where I had
incorrectly assumed that the payload had to be base-64 encoded.
I would be grateful for some clarification/verification of assumptions
in the following:

I think my assumption assumption of requiring base 64 encoding was
incorrect. I am now assuming that the payload can be binary (indeed
gzipped etc. as in HTTP) and does NOT need to be text encoded. I assume
nobody would really want to send such a binary payload for UDP datagrams,
but are compliant implementations expected to accept such a playload?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards

Ranga.
