Hi,

If a statefull proxy receives for example an OPTIONS request
with cseq 100 within a calleg, and then before it
gets the response to teh request gets a new request within the same calleg
with cseq 101, how should it react to the second request ?

Should it send an error message, or queue it until it gets a response for the
100 transaction, and the forward it ? Or forward it right away ?

How should the same scenario be handled at an UAC ?
Say it gets within the same call and calleg a re-INVITE with cseq 100, and
then a new re-INVITE with cseq 101 before it was able to reply to the 100 one
(because it had to ask som terminal hardware for rtp-ports or something).

What should be done in this case ? Is the UAC one the other side allways
responsible for not starting a new transaction before the last one
is finished and one should tehrefore respond with an error ?
Is there some generic rule that applies to this scenario for
all types of transactions ?

TIA!

Nils Henrik Lorentzen
