I'd like to draw your attention to a new SIP book "Internet Communications Using SIP: Delivering VoIP and Multimedia Services with Session Initiation Protocol", by Henry Sinnreich and Alan Johnston. It started shipping now. The book gives a really solid overview of the SIP landscape.
