Hi Eilat,
The username in the Www-Authenticate header only indicates the
username to be used
to authenticate oneself into the realm specified in the challenge
(Authorization header). It is not
related to the user@host in the FROM header in any way.

Regards,
Subhash.

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Username value in WWW-Authenticate header

Guys,

In an authentication/authentification process, in the 407/401 response,
does
the "username" value in the WWW-Authenticate header need to be equal to the
user part of the user@host in the FROM header ?

Thanks

Michel Eilat
