Lorenzo,
This is pretty basic to the protocol - I suggest you read the RFC a bit more closely before you begin implementing. Unless the proxy has explicitly requested to be included in the subsequent exchanges within the session by using the Record-Route/Route mechanism, it is perfectly acceptable, indeed strongly encouraged, for requests and responses beyond the INVITE/200 to use the Contact: rather than the original To:/From: "proxied" addresses. Note that in the case where the users are from disparate domains, and there are two proxy servers involved in the exchange, minnie may be required to send the message to her outgoing proxy, which will then forward it directly to mickey, or vice versa. But, if directly accessible addresses are included in Contact: headers for both parties to the session, then barring any local administrative policy to the contrary, requests from the ACK onward should travel directly between mickey and minnie. -Gregg Siegfried [EMAIL PROTECTED] > When "mikymouse" has to send an ACK or a BYE he uses: > ACK [EMAIL PROTECTED] .... > or > BYE [EMAIL PROTECTED] .... > > Can he use the private IP Addres ? > i.e. > ACK [EMAIL PROTECTED] ..... > or > BYE [EMAIL PROTECTED] .... > > A proxy can reject a sip message that contains the private IP Addres? _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sip-implementors
