Can multiple subscriptions exist for one event package? In other words, can multiple subscriptions exist beside refreshes and unsubscribes/fetches? Why would each unsubscribe/fetch have to be identified uniquely within a dialog?

As dialogs are identified by the combination of local tag (the From header tag from UAC's perspective), remote tag (the To header tag from UAC's perspective), and Call-ID header, it is possible to have multiple dialogs associated with this tuple (or "peer-to-peer session"). In fact, multiple subscriptions associated with a single dialog are now possible. As stated in section 4.1.4.1, the new ID parameter is used to identify a specific subscription where multiple subscriptions exist for a single dialog. Is this parameter extraneous when we already have the From (+From-tag), To (+To-Tag), Branch, Cseq, etc. or am I missing something? Thanks for explaining and regards, Dai Ngo
