Hi,

I have a question on the usage of hold SDP that uses a=sendonly.
Let's suppose User A is talking with User B. User A wants to put User B on
hold and call User C.
To place User B on hold, User A sends a re-INVITE with hold SDP to User B.
Here, is the sending of the re-INVITE with hold SDP mandatory to place User
B on hold?
Another way could be that User A not send the re-INVITE to User B, but just
drop the RTP packets received from User B. I can see that we save bandwidth
by sending the hold SDP; is there any other reason?

Thanks,
YoungSun
