Yes, that is an interesting feature. It is more interesting if driving by the Contact in provisional or 200 response than if it is in a redirect, because it doesn't depend on whether a request is redirected or proxied.
If done via provisionals, it also provides the opporunity to say: "Ringing Bob, Carol & Ted". :-)

Since this information is even provided in a 18x provisional, Alice's UA could even display "Ringing Carol".
Of course, this has privacy considerations, but the called party has control if a display name is presented in a Contact header field.
