Hello,
who sends the response 181 (Call Is Being Forwarded) ? I assume, that a proxy-server should send the 181, if he resolves a 302 from a UAS. So the UAC is informed about the redirection and may terminate the call setup, if he want. I did not found a description related to the 302/ 181 topic in the RFC 3261 or any call flow in related documents. In the draft-ietf-sipping-isup-* the mapping of messages from SIP to ISUP is described. If a SIP->PSTN call is forwarded inside the PSTN, a CPG + code=6 is sent back to the gateway and a 181 is generated back to the UAC. I assume, the protocol should be symmetric, but I have never seen a SIP-phones sending a 181, but only 302. So I assume, the proxy should generate the 181, because he decided to call a B-site with address received in the 302 response. ------------------------------- Thanks.
