Subject: [Sip-implementors] destruction of dialog context

Hi List,
I have a question, when exactly dialog context should be destroyed by the UAC ?
 1. When BYE is sent by the UAC. or
 2. When 200OK for BYE is recieved by the UAC.
I feel, dialog context should be maintained untill 200 OK[Final response] for the BYE is
received by UAC.  But, I am looking at "Josua" SIP phone stack based on "libosip", which
destroys the dialog context as soon as BYE is sent by the it. I would like to  maintain  the
dialog context untill last message for the context has been recvd/sent  so that i can log message
exchange statistics for a dialog.
Could some one clarify, where does the SIP standard stand on this ?  Also, Is there any callback defined on josua for the BYE response timeout ?
Thanks,
Shambhu
