In the RFC for Replaces it states that upon receiving an INVITE with Replaces, assuming the INVITE is accepted, the INVITE is accepted with a 200 class response and the dialog to be replaced is terminated with a BYE. The RFC seems to imply that the 200 for INVITE occurs prior to the BYE, however my reading of the texts leaves me wondering if this is actually a requirement. What if the BYE is received prior to the 200? Is this acceptable or will if confuse the UA issuing the INVITE?
