Dear SIP fans,

I am looking for information on NAT time-out problem.

NAT keeps a state table of the existing connections passing through it.
However, if there is no traffic on a particular channel, the connection will
be closed after the NAT time-out period is over. There is a draft to keep a
SIP session alive by using UPDATE or re-INVITE. This does not solve the
problem of data channel.

My question is how to keep the data channel alive?

Thanks.
Ashir
