Hi All, I have one query regarding signaling requirement for sigComp.
Section 5 of RFC 3486 states procedure to be followed at proxy on receiving SIP response messages. It states "A proxy performing record-route inspects the record-route header field in the response and the contact header field in the request that triggered this response". It implies that proxy should know the contact header field in the request message. But a stateless proxy will not have any context of request message that triggered this response. My query is whether sigComp is meant to be supported only by state full proxy or not? IMO, the modification of record-route described in this paragraph can easily be done during forwarding request message itself. Thanks for your help. Regards Prashant
