Krishna,
I am unsure of the CPC syntax but would think that the syntax rules for section 25 RFC3261 would apply and that a SIP URI would be formatted in the former rather than later eg,
From: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED];cpc=payphone>;tag=1928301774

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: Subject: [Sip-implementors] Doubt on CPC parameter |
Hi,
I have a doubt on how to indicate Calling Party Category (CPC) parameter in an INVITE message. I had gone through draft "draft-mahy-iptel-cpc-00.txt" that says that cpc should be included as the uri parameter of the from header. An example is given as :-
INVITE sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] SIP/2.0
To: "Bob" <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
From: <tel:+17005554141;cpc=payphone>;tag=1928301774
In the example, cpc is represented as parameter of the from uri. Suppose CPC has to be used with a sip uri, how should that be included. Is it :-
From: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED];cpc=payphone>;tag=1928301774
or is it
From: <sip:+17005554141;[EMAIL PROTECTED]>;tag=1928301774
I have a feeling that the second option is correct. I wanted to confirm whether my understanding is correct.
Is there any other draft or rfc that says how the cpc paramter should be used in SIP protocol other than the one i referred.
Rgds
Krishna
