chouck,

There are wonderful books/tutorials out there. Also the SIP related IETF
specs are written very well (try to read 3GPP specs and you will know
what we mean ;-))
As veteran SIP developers we thought to ease the life of new comer
collegues and came up with an annotated version of the main SIP RFC
(~40% is done by now). When ready (in about a month) we will let you
know. We will most likely not charge for it, but provide it to the SIP
community as our modest contrib. (perhaps we will ask for a minimal
handling fee - not sure).

Other than that just go ahead and read the Digest Authntication RFC
2617, and send questions to the list if/when you get stuck...

Subject: [Sip-implementors] About the sip protocol

I have been trying to find good protocol documentation forever based on SIP. The very
large tutorial is just way to extensive and doesnt explain encryption with md5 or
anything. Please let me know if you know where I could learn to actually write
software for this protocol, thanks
