Hi All, How does a REFER within a dialog and a REFER outside a dialog differ.
A REFER from endpointA to epB triggers the epB to sends a SIP method (specified in the REFER) to the ep identified by the refer-to URI. If this REFER is within an existing dialog between epA and epb & if the method is INVITE, Can it be assumed that the call between epA & epB is transferred to epC. Or does it just trigger the epB to initiate a new Call to epC..? How is this related to the existing call between epA & epB. If only we use a replaces header in the REFER, does it transfer the existing call betwen epA and epB...? Thanks, -Badri Badri Srinivasan S Networking Technology Labs, HCL Technologies.
