When no codec is available then Bad Media should be send in the response instead of OK. Nothing (Codecs / Ports and/or IP) is changing then and the call continues with the old codec etc. There is no risk at all (in theory)

Hi Ramesh,
It is quite possible, but you may run into the risk of no codec being matched from your second offer.
Hence it is recommended that you make an offer with atleast one matching codec (from the previous offer-answer).

Hi, Can there be an entirely new list of codecs in reinvite, that is different from the original capability set sent in the INVITE that started the dialog?

Cheers
Ramesh
