Hi Franz, You can refer to draft-rosenberg-sip-entfw-02.txt which explains the use of direction attribute and active/passive modes. The draft is however expired and I don't think a new version still exists (or not).
Qutoes from the draft: c=IN IP4 10.0.1.1 m=audio 9 RTP/UDP 0 a=direction:active "a host that indicates active only in an INVITE must still list an IP address and port in the SDP, and be prepared to receive media on it." My 2 cents :-) Gaurav -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Franz Edler Sent: Friday, November 11, 2005 12:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Sip-implementors] Question on "a=direction:active" attribute in SDP Hi, does anyone know the Internet Draft where the "a=direction:active" attribute for SDP is defined? It is used sometimes to handle symmetric NAT issues.
