HI,

I have some basic doubts about dns based load balancing .

Could you please clarify the following?

Using DNS will the load be evenly balanced. ?

RFC3263 tells that "The procedures here MUST be done exactly once per
transaction, where

transaction is as defined in [1]." That means we need do DNS look up once
per transaction ??

If we are doing look up once per transaction , assume a case where the out
bound proxy is call stateful and if DNS is doing some

Round robin load balancing , is there a chance that the request may go to a
wrong proxy which don't have any context of the call .

Also if there is a mechanism is such a way that , a request form a client
gets the same proxy always , is there a chance that

the proxy may get loaded in some cases like, if the duration of the calls
through the proxy is very long. If the criteria for such a mechanism is a

time duration , how can we correctly define the time period?

With thanks and regards

Mahesh
