From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of priya pandit Sent: Thu 12/22/2005 9:28 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Sip-implementors] Multiple 2xx responses Section 13.1 of RFC 3261 says: "After possibly receiving one or more provisional responses, the UAC will get one or more 2xx responses or one non-2xx final response." My questions are: 1. What is the use of receiving multiple 2xx responses and why does it happen? [ABN] its been decided to give flexibility to select one amoing the multiple dialigs created for teh same call... 2. Though an ACK is sent back to all, which one should be considered finally ? [ABN] which one of the multiple dialogs created for the same call is the applicatiion logic... you can select any of them... SIP does nto specify anything on this... 3.Can all of them contain SDPs (pbly answer SDPs)? [ABN] Yes all the 200 OK's carry teh SDP since its been replied by diff entities registered for teh same URI....
