Well as per RFC, Registrar is a special kind of UAS that handles only REGISTER requests. So you MAY get a 405 method not allowed if you do that.
In most practical implementations, Registrar implements a complete SIP stack ie. the UAS resides in the same node and should be able to respond back to your OPTIONS. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Holger Schmidt Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2006 7:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Sip-implementors] OPTIONS to registrar Dear all, Just one question: According to RFC 3261, is it possible to send an OPTIONS request to the registar?
