Subject: [Sip-implementors] BYE crossing BYE question

I am sure this must have been discussed already or covered in 3261. But
I
could not find it either in the doc or by searching the web.

Here is the question.

After sending Bye if a UAC receives a Bye how it should be handled (same
dialog?

Is 481 the appropriate/right response?

Ajit-> As soon as the UAC generates a BYE for an existing dialog it
considers the session to be terminated. So for any request referring to
same dialog for which BYE was send, if received, should be responded
with 487 Request Terminated.

After sending BYE if Re-Invite or REFER or any other Request is received
for
the same dialog how it needs to be handled?

Is 481 the right Response?

Ajit-> Same as above

After sending a Re-Invite/or any other request if BYE is received?

Send 200 Ok and discard the Request Transaction?

Ajit-> Send 200 ok to BYE and go to terminated state.

Thanks

kasturi
